Simplicity

A website that I inspected was Noodles and Company. This website was very interesting to view as it gave a very simplistic feel. As you scroll down on the website, they present their popular foods that they sell in store. This menu layout provides a photo of the food along with the name of the food item. The layout of the menu provides a simplistic emotion towards what they are presenting on screen to the viewers. Providing a simple photo along with the name of the food item, gives the viewers a feeling of calmness as it is easy to interpret and understand. Red Lobster

Emphasis

Another website that allowed me to interpret great emphasis on a certain area of their website was Red Lobster. This website was created in a way that allowed viewers to focus on different deals and big announcements that they are trying to get across. Right away when you enter the website, Red Lobster promotes different graphics that are very vibrant and big. This catches the viewer's eyes as they are trying to promote great emphasis on their deals, and rewards programs offered at the Red Lobster locations. The typographics and colors used in the graphics are pleasing to the viewers which draws them in to inspect what is being promoted. Emphasis in this website is used in a positive way that interests the viewers of the website to benefit their food company. Red Lobster

Olive Garden

Unity

A website that I found to be very interesting and well laid out was Olive Garden. This website created a unique and organized feeling by using the design principle unity. As you scroll down, below the “menu highlight” page, the collection and the spacing of the different photos of the food available in their restaurant is pleasing to look at. Along with the spacing of the images, the image sizing is well thought out and presented cleanly and organized. Unity is used in a very professional and creative way by allowing appropriate spacing, image sizing, and overall balance throughout the menu images. Olive Garden

Texas Roadhouse

Pattern

The final website I felt gave a cool and interesting pattern was Texas Roadhouse. In the background image, is a wooden pattern that is entered in different areas of the website. It really fits the theme and the rustic feel of the Texas Roadhouse brand. This pattern is very pleasing to look at and it is inserted in appropriate areas of the main page of the website. The background being wood, gives also a movement to it as the grooves are moving downwards in the page. Well thought out color and theme schemes, paid off creating a fitting background image that created patterns in the website. Texas Roadhouse
